About the Project

Race the 215 is a local event organized by the Ecococialist working group of DSA SD to show San Diegans, and our officals, how slow our most popular bus line is, by organzing a race around it.

For this project, I worked directly with the working group to create a graphic that would invite new folks into the event, whether they joined by bike or by bus. 8.5 x 11 in flyers were printed and posted around the city, and a separate instagram-friendly version was made for social.

The inaugural event had over 50 attendees to help demand a faster 215, and even led to a few new DSA sign ups. The fastest cyclists beat the bus, after giving the bus a 15 minute head start! See the original social post here and some highlight photos here.
