About the Project

Webtape, is 51 minutes of reversed piano, microseconds of 90s pop music, archival footage, 16-bit reverb, voice memos, the sound of rain, and lots of noise. It is the second album from California band, April. I worked closely with the group to establish CD pacakaging that would refelct the themes and sound of the album, which is very much wrapped in nostalgia.

For the packaging, we went with a layered approach using a combination of vellum and transparency which each hold different layers of printed text, like the layers of textures and sound within the album. Webtape is available for puchase on Bandcamp and available to stream anywhere.
